After many years working in the pewter giftware industry, Malcolm Crewdson made the decision to turn freelance. Forming his Days of Chivalry Studio in 1997, out of a desire to produce his own memorable collection of quality, hand crafted pewter studies and jewellery.

The first sculpture Malcolm created from his own studio, was the magnificent 'Pendragon Knight', the start of his limited edition Arthurian Legend Collection.

Now retired from production, the original mould one version has become a highly sought after piece. The mould 2 version known as the 'Jewelled Pendragon Knight' limited to just 100 pieces, has also proved to be very popular with collectors.

After adding the pieces 'Bestowal of Excalibur', 'Elaine of Astolat', 'Igraine' and 'Merlin' to his Arthurian Collection, Malcolm moved onto creating more historically accurate figurines. His 'Agincourt Bowman', 'Towton Bowman' and '15th Century Knight' studies receiving

much acclaim. (Please note that the Agincourt Bowman, Towton Bowman and the 15th Century Knight studies are not available by mail-order. They are however occasionally displayed, and orders accepted at certain events

attended by Days of Chivalry, as special purchase conditions apply.)

Over the years Malcolm's work as a designer and sculptor has diversified, by his creating a range of historically themed, pewter/crystal costume jewellery, and a series of pewter thimbles, along with items such as livery badges for the world of historical re-enactment.

Malcolm's latest work is a series of highly collectable, pewter, feline studies 'Cats in Costume'. His love of cats and history combined into one, each piece unique in its historically themed costume. Several of the studies are modelled on his own real life feline companions, whilst other (undressed) cats are produced under the name 'Cat Antics' and portray Malcolm's feline friends at work, rest and play.

Malcolm's creations are displayed and sold at English Heritage events, and at various castles and stately homes throughout the country, where his Days of Chivalry products have become well known for their high quality of craftsmanship.
